OPEN DAY @ AL QAMAR 2015 Hats off the the superb job the children did presenting their year long projects to the public at large. Discussing, explaining, answering, defending...

This is intellectual stuff in the best traditions of academia.

Projects were done independently by the children with teachers only working as facilitators and sometimes sidekicks! They included Science fair projects - Which battery lasts the longest, Which angle should fan blades be fixed at; Psychology - Do kids prefer books or TV? Does listening to nasheeds help memory, History - Fashions and food in Mughal times, How the bicycle design changed through the ages, Geography - country surveys, Art - launch exhibition of Inaya's work, Spark Science club demo- showing laws of reflection; Potpourri - a jumble of fun activities from the English class. And our budding engineers from Grade 2 displayed their complicated Lego models.

The Elementary and Montessori children demonstrated how they work in a montessori environment using material based on self choice.

About a 120 guests visited, including teachers from other schools. Many were impressed with confidence, articulate explanations and knowledge of the children.

All praise to.Allah Swt
